Elecmobility is a new vehicle importer for Spain whose star product is Yoyo. Produced by XEV, a Chinese manufacturer based in Turin, Italy, this Yoyo is a small electric car (2.5 meters long) with three doors and two seats that weigh just over 500 kg, including its batteries.
It is considered L7e, which means that it requires a type B driving license in Spain. Therefore, being over 18 years old and, although they are prohibited from driving on highways or motorways, they can do so for the rest of roads normally.
At the time of the commercial launch of the XEV Yoyo, Elecmobility has requested the administration to allow those over 16 years of age to drive this type of electric vehicle, as is the case in other European countries - Portugal, France, Italy - and as already allowed by a community directive.
Elecmobility sells this quad through dealerships that, initially, would not be exclusive for the sale of XEVs, sharing space with other brands; being its price 14,900 euros, not including any type of subsidy or aid such as Moves III, although it can benefit from this plan.
The XEV Yoyo has an electric motor with a power of 15 kW, that is, 20.4 hp, which is supplied with energy by three batteries located, like it, in the back of the car. Each of them weighs 24 kilos and, as in the case of the Silence S04, they have the particularity that they can be removed to exchange them for others, for example, at a service station as is done in Italy, through a door located under the tailgate of the trunk (180 liters).
The total capacity of these three batteries is 10.3 kWh, and they are enough to travel 160 km, according to the simulations of urban routes carried out for their approval.
However, they can also be recharged without removing them from the Yoyo; in this case, all you need is a conventional plug. With its alternating current and a power of 2 kW, they would be fully recharged in about five hours even when they no longer had power.
With the XEV Yoyo, you can reach a speed of 90 km/h in Sport mode, while in Eco, designed to increase the range of a charge, you can reach 65 km/h.
A particularity of this model compared to other ATVs is that its equipment includes unusual elements among those. This is the case of the ABS or the air conditioning, although it also has a 2 kW PTC-type heater.
Likewise, the XEV Yoyo has a central 7-inch touch screen that can be linked to the mobile phone and from which to launch playlists, make phone calls or view traffic in real-time, for example.
Electric windows, three USB ports, keyless entry, and start, or a panoramic roof are also part of the equipment for this small electric car that can turn 180º in just 8 meters. @via XEV cars.
