BMW's newest addition to the BMW M family, the BMW XM Label Red, is aimed at clients all over the world who place a premium on uniqueness, luxury, and performance above and above the ordinary. In August 2023, the assembly will begin at the BMW Group Plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The combination of the electric motor and the V8 engine allows for instantaneous and continuous power delivery over the whole rpm range. The BMW XM Label Red's system output is now 550 kW/748 hp, which is an increase of 70 kW/95 hp above the basic BMW XM built after December 2022.
The BMW XM Label Red is a hybrid car that makes use of both an electric motor and an eight-cylinder combustion engine to maximize performance and efficiency. The electric motor can add up to 145 kW/197 hp and nominal torque of 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) to the total system output of 430 kW/585 horsepower and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) from the V8 engine.
The BMW M xDrive all-wheel-drive technology evenly and efficiently transmits power from the internal combustion engine and electric motor to all four wheels. The technology improves the vehicle's responsiveness, particularly in the rear-biased 4WD Sport mode. To further improve traction on sandy surfaces when the DSC system is deactivated, the vehicle can be switched to 4WD Sand mode. The electric range of the BMW XM Label Red is 75-83 kilometers (47-52 miles) thanks to its high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a useful energy capacity of 25.7 kWh.
BMW IconicSounds Electric was created in partnership with film score composer Hans Zimmer to provide a distinctive musical accompaniment to the BMW XM Label Red's electric motor's power delivery, making it the most potent road-legal BMW M vehicle ever manufactured. In addition to the Professional charging cable, a Flexible Fast Charger is included for use with standard household or commercial outlets.
