I went to the movies at the end of the year as soon as the celebration was over. VHS tapes were a big part of my childhood, and this activity makes me happy to think about them.
The latest Leonardo DiCaprio movie, "Don't Look Up", is more than just a Netflix movie. It is a warning, or rather a bitter omen. A corrupt society, led by a pseudo-elite, signs its condemnation—everything in a carom of black humor, crazy findings, and truths hard to swallow.
Although the movie is seen as a parody of former President Trump's administration, it is much more than that. The election of Trump, this accident of democracy, came as a reaction to politically correct laziness. A doctrine that was intended to be a step forward in human development but has been and is being applied so poorly that the reactions are politically incorrect.
So what do we have in the world today? Terrifying inequalities, where on the one hand, billionaires come to believe in God, and on the other hand, children as miners in the Congo are paid a dollar a day.
We have progressive media interested only in nonsense and sensational, what ratings and its impact on social media. We have social platforms that give a spokesperson to all the crazy people who don't just socialize. Just brainwash.
We have low-minded, insane scientists who can't explain the meaning of simple, logical, and sometimes severe things. But, if they talk about arguments and tell the truth, they have no chance in front of a showbiz trickster who shoots beasts and has two more classes than the train.
On top of all this, we have an elite made up of impostors, corrupt and pseudo-perceived. This elite is heavily controlled by dubious businessmen who believe themselves above all else.
We have all this; all that's left is a killer comet. Look at the sky; does anyone see it?
