Bowler has announced the Defender Rally Series for 2023, following a highly successful first season with many spectacular events. The Defender has been a reliable, long-lasting, and capable foundation for building UK and international franchises. The Defender Rally Series by Bowler features nine events with 12 teams participating in identical Defender rally cars. The series is open to both novice and seasoned competitors. Six rounds of fully supported racing follow the initial private round, during which teams hone the driving and organizational prowess necessary to compete successfully in open races.
In 2022, the Defender Rally Series by Bowler will expand on the success of the Tata Elxsi Bowler Defender Challenge by allowing drivers to gain valuable motorsport experience and knowledge necessary to compete successfully in off-road rally events. Bowler can help its members get the training and certifications they need to play at the highest levels of competition in the United Kingdom and beyond.
The UK Championship features a welcoming, family-friendly environment with complete technical support for all competitions. Bowler's unprecedented offer and dedication to motorsport are displayed through the team's professional presence, including comprehensive assistance and hospitality. Its popularity keeps rising in the UK and worldwide because of the extraordinary team spirit and relationship-building it has fostered.
Packages for the 2023 UK Championship begin at $121,000 and go up from there (excl. VAT). Included in this package is the acquisition and use of a brand-new, fully converted rally car based on the most recent Defender 90 P300 model, as well as management throughout nine events, including seven competitions, with full factory support and a dedicated team of racing mechanics, expert advice, use of a fully equipped container and support unit, and instruction. The Bowler package does not include the cost of entering the competition.
For the 2023 UK Rally Championship, Bowler offers a range of supplementary services, such as "Arrive and Drive," in which Bowler handles the rally car. The off-road vehicles are cared for by professionals who ensure they are spotless for each race by cleaning, inspecting, and fixing them if needed and storing them in between events. This is an excellent option for drivers who are too busy or who live abroad to participate in the rally rounds because they are held in rural regions all across the UK. Professional rally driving schools and driver license enhancement programs are two more available choices.
Bowler's history and experience have helped the drivers in this year's UK Championship and will aid much more in 2023. Competition in a car that is making waves throughout the world will heat up in the 2023 season. Bowler is pleased to present one-of-a-kind tests, journeys, and experiences that capture the essence of Bowler's shared history and values.
Bowler's Head of Motorsport, Dave Marsh, has said: "From the beginning of our testing with a pre-production Defender, we knew we had the building blocks for a rally car that would provide excellent balance and stability on the track, qualities that are crucial for novice drivers while also satisfying seasoned pros. The key question was whether or not our 2022 participants would agree, and they have. Incredible to see how the cars stack up against each other in the championship's numerous events and how they fare against such strong opposition."
The Defender Bowler rally car is based on a production car with practical driver functions such as InControl Security, satellite navigation, climate control, and telematics. Hopefully, the drivers will not have to use a reversing camera, but the air conditioning can be handy on hot summer days.
