Porsche has unveiled its latest iteration of the iconic 911 sports car, the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. The new model, available in both coupe and cabriolet versions, offers a blend of performance, comfort, and style that will appeal to UK drivers.
What makes the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS special?
The 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is based on the Porsche 911 Carrera S but has several enhancements that make it stand out. The most noticeable difference is the engine, which has been tuned to deliver 480 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 30 hp and 22 lb-ft over the Carrera S. The engine also features a sport exhaust system that produces a distinctive sound and reduces back pressure.
The 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS also comes with a sport chassis that lowers the ride height by 10 millimeters and improves handling and agility. The suspension is adaptive and can adjust to different road conditions and driving modes. The brakes are also upgraded, with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear, as well as larger discs and pads.
The exterior of the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is distinguished by its black accents, such as the front spoiler, the air intake, the rear diffuser, the engine cover grille, and the tailpipes. The headlights and taillights are also darkened, giving the car a more aggressive look. The wheels are 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, with a center-lock design and a satin black finish.
The interior of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is equally sporty and luxurious, with leather and Alcantara upholstery, carbon-fiber trim, and GTS logos on the headrests, door sills, and tachometer. The seats are sporty and supportive, with four-way electric adjustment and memory function. The steering wheel is also wrapped in Alcantara and features a mode switch that allows the driver to select between Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, and Individual settings.
