The Cadillac Escalade has been a symbol of American luxury and style for over a quarter of a century. Its imposing presence, refined interior, and powerful performance set the standard for full-size SUVs. But now, the Escalade is ready to enter a new era of electrification, innovation, and sustainability. Meet the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the first-ever all-electric version of the legendary Escalade.
The Escalade IQ is not just an Escalade with a battery pack. It is a completely new vehicle, built from the ground up on G.M.'s revolutionary Ultium Platform, which enables a variety of electric vehicles with different shapes, sizes, and capabilities, also used by Buick Envista. The Escalade IQ. is designed to be the best-driving, most agile, and most advanced Escalade ever, with an estimated range of 450 miles, a huge 55-inch curved LED display, available Super Cruise driver assistance technology, bidirectional charging capability, and a stunning interior and exterior design.
A Futuristic and Iconic Design
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is unmistakably a Cadillac but with a futuristic twist. It has a sleek and aerodynamic silhouette, with a long hood, a sloping roofline, and a large dash-to-axle ratio that recalls the classic Cadillac Eldorados of the 1970s. The front end features a distinctive grille-like panel that lights up with a signature animation to greet the driver on arrival. The headlights are slim and sharp, while the taillights are split between the body and the D-pillars, creating a unique visual signature. The Escalade IQ. rides on massive 24-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires, giving it a commanding presence on the road.
The Escalade IQ also offers two distinct trim levels: Sport and Luxury. The Sport model has more blacked-out trim and a more aggressive stance, while the Luxury model has more chrome accents and a more elegant look. Both models are available in eight exterior colors, including two exclusive ones: Electric Blue and Electric Red.
A Spacious and Luxurious Cabin
The interior of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is where the magic happens. The first thing that catches the eye is the huge pillar-to-pillar screen that stretches across the dashboard, providing information, entertainment, and customization options for the driver and passengers. The screen is divided into three sections: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, a 17.7-inch infotainment system for the center console, and a 24.9-inch passenger display for the front-seat passenger. The screen can also be configured to show different modes, such as navigation, media, or performance.
The Escalade IQ also offers an impressive amount of space and comfort for up to seven occupants. The second-row seats are available as either captain's chairs or bench seats, while the third-row seats are power-folding and have more legroom than the current Escalade. The cargo area is also generous, with 28 cubic feet behind the third row and 81 cubic feet with both rows folded down. And if that's not enough, there's also a 12-cubic-foot frunk (or E-Trunk) under the hood, which can fit two golf bags or other items.
The cabin is also filled with premium materials and features, such as leather upholstery, wood trim, ambient lighting, wireless charging, heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 12.6-inch touchscreens, and an AKG Studio Reference sound system with 36 speakers. Additionally, the Escalade IQ offers an optional Executive Rear Seating Package for those who want to travel in ultimate luxury. This package includes two individual rear seats with a massage function, stowable tray tables, wireless headphones, and an exclusive center console with climate controls and storage compartments.
