The EICMA 2023, the world’s biggest event dedicated to two-wheeled vehicles, is underway in Milan, Italy, and one of the most eye-catching exhibits is the new Fiat Topolino, a compact, fun and 100% electric car that pays homage to the iconic model of the 1930s. The Topolino, which means “little mouse” in Italian, is designed to offer a sustainable and joyful mobility solution for urban environments, with zero emissions, reduced noise and a charming retro style.
Two versions: closed and open
The Fiat Topolino is available in two versions: the closed one, which has a conventional roof and doors, and the open one, which is called Topolino Dolcevita and features a rollable fabric sunroof and open-air doors with wicker ropes. The Dolcevita version is inspired by the Italian lifestyle of the 1950s and 1960s, when the original Fiat 500 symbolized freedom and happiness. The Fiat Topolino Dolcevita also has exclusive details such as chrome accents, vintage mirrors, wheel covers, a rear carriage, a bag hook, a smartphone holder, and a shower nozzle, making it perfect for the beach.
Both versions of the Topolino have a single-seat configuration with a spacious trunk behind the driver. The interior is minimalist and functional, with a digital dashboard and a docking station for the smartphone, which acts as the main interface for the car’s features. The Topolino has a range of up to 75 km (47 miles) and a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph), making it ideal for short-distance trips in the city. A normal plug can fully recharge in less than four hours.
