The Dacia Manifesto has been formally revealed in Paris, and while it will not be mass-produced, the concept shows the way forward for Dacia in many ways. Beginning with the introduction of the Dacia Manifesto concept, the Romanian brand portrays itself as essential but cool, robust, dependable, and eco-friendly by utilizing the least expensive options.
Dacia has been transforming for several years without necessarily making sense at the time. Essentially, Dacia was methodically preparing for the moment when it will be able to express loudly, clearly, and brutally, which will be in 2023.
Dacia bids farewell to the nickname "low-cost" or "smart-buy." It's now a necessary yet fashionable brand. Yes, models like the Dacia Duster and, more recently, the Dacia Jogger are ideal for this mindset. In this regard, there is still work to be done on the other models in the range, and the foundation stones are being put today. One example of necessary but fascinating technology is the ability to incorporate a smartphone into the dashboard.
Of course, like with every brand, there are service stories and incidents of questionable dependability. However, for most of the public, Dacia has managed to solidify its image as a brand that delivers dependable and durable vehicles. Dacia will continue to score well in all areas, including communication and introducing new models. It will rely on durability, dependability, and constructive simplicity. Plus, innovative solutions deliver more while spending less than the competitors.
The Dacia Manifesto concept, which is entirely electric, demonstrates that Dacia is ready to join the ranks of brands that provide electric vehicles. However, it is mainly concerned with providing more cheap eco-solutions. It's about LPG engines and materials made from recycled materials. Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia, pointed out that sustainability can emerge from both ecological and economic sources.
Ideas like the removable front projector, which can be used as a flashlight, and the washable interior with the hose stand out as strictly tied to the Dacia Manifesto concept. Not by accident, Dacia will offer the Jogger with an interior built of more durable materials and containing more recyclable plastic starting in 2023.
The entire Dacia lineup has a new look. First and foremost, the new Dacia logo sticks out. There is also an absence of chrome components. Everything that has a chrome appearance will be completely removed from Dacia vehicles.
